Getting to Know Hannah Stich
How long have you been at PE Services and what does your role entail?
I have been at PE Services full time for about a year and a half now but also interned with PE for three months in 2023. I am a Civil Technician and my role differs depending on the project. On my current project I am the project lead, but on other projects I do materials testing, inspection, and document control.
What made you decide to work at PE Services over other firms?
I was given the opportunity to intern with PE Services while I was still in school and during that time I was able to build a great community. I enjoyed the work that PE Services does, so I was excited to be asked back full time.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
My favorite aspect of my job is the continuous education that I am receiving. Still being newish in the industry, I am constantly learning new things and wanting to learn new things. I have been given the opportunities with our off-season training and working on different projects that have different scopes of work.
What has been your favorite project and why?
My favorite project is one that I was on briefly in Maiden Rock, WI, where a Soil Nail Wall was being constructed. It was something I had never seen before, and the jobsite was 9 ½’ from a building next to it so it was interesting to see how the contractors operated in a small area while maintaining the integrity of the building.
I am happiest when….I am with my family, they are my greatest supporters.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla with peanut butter cups.
Describe your perfect vacation.
My perfect vacation would be a month in Europe, spending most of my time in Germany but visiting a few other countries.
What would you tell a newcomer to PE Services?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Everyone at PE Services is very welcoming and we’re always available for help.
